Three Cabins on Spider Lake
Rent One, Two or all Three
Buckles Cabin #3 Information
Buckles Cabin #3 on Spider Lake has red accents on light yellow paint. #3 is the smallest cabin in a set of three cabins I call the Buckles Cabins because the property was bought by David Buckles in 1945 for $500 and construction began in 1947. It has two bedrooms with one double bed and two singles in a bunk (5′ 6″ length, smaller than a twin), a bath w/shower and a full kitchen with dining and living room all combined. There is antenna TV providing the major networks and Wi-Fi. It has a dedicated picnic table and shared deck with a gas and charcoal grill. There is a shared fire pit, dock and boats.
The boats and dock are seasonal and all or part are typically in the lake May through September. If you are staying these early or late shoulder months and the dock or boats are important to anyone in your group ask me when they will be in and out of service so there is no misunderstanding. Boats include: row, pedal, two kayaks and a canoe shared between two properties. Motorized boats are an additional expense; inquire for the details.
There is on-site swimming, boating and fishing here and this is huge when you consider not many rental properties have on-site swimming, boats available at no charge, motorized boats available and fishing from the shoreline, dock or one of the boats! I spoke with a resort owner not to many years ago whom lightly berated me for providing grills and he said he didn’t provide grills because, “you have to clean them”. Well, he wasn’t in business long. Not everyone wants a grill but for some it is a necessity! Ask the competition if they offer all these important perks!
